Uzbeks seeking to work in Russia were offered 10,000 jobs in the construction industry. The head of the press service of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations Mavjuda Mirzaeva gave detailed information about this at a press conference on 8 November, Darya correspondent reports.
According to him, a professional competition is being held as part of a pilot project to involve Uzbek citizens in the construction industry in Russia.
“If they go to work legally, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations can always protect their rights everywhere. If it goes illegally, bypasses and operates without documents, our ministry will not be able to help, unfortunately. We are not sending slaves. We have contracts with good employers, and on this basis, we constantly monitor the conditions and salaries of our citizens, ”said Mavjuda Mirzaeva.
It was noted that Uzbek citizens wishing to work will be reimbursed by the employer for medical examinations, vaccinations, exams in Russian language, Russian history and legislation, patenting and transportation.
For information, in September 2021, during the visit of a delegation of representatives of a number of government agencies and large employers headed by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia A. Pudov to Uzbekistan, talks were held on labor migration. It was agreed that in the near future to attract 10,000 citizens from Uzbekistan to Russia to work in the construction industry on a simplified basis.
As part of the project to organize the employment of these citizens, 40 Russian medical workers arrived in Uzbekistan with medical equipment to organize their medical examination in the country. Citizens involved in the work will be vaccinated with a new type of vaccine "Sputnik Light".
Recruitment of candidates, medical examinations, vaccinations, examinations in Russian language and Russian legislation, patent registration and transportation costs are covered by employers.
